Observations from a balcony on a holiday afternoon.

People watching. In my neighborhood the best live theater takes place about twenty feet below me on street level. What characters. What energy that pulses up and down Diversey Parkway. ┬áIt’s been said that there are eight million stories in the naked city.

If there was a book you could read……

That explained how it was ‘done’ ….we’d all be doing it. Getting a film financed is about finding a market, developing an exceptional product and team. And then presenting what you have to the prospective investors. IT’S CALLED SELLING! Nothing more, nothing less. It’s about knowing the numbers. Making sure those numbers add up to profit, and being ‘good in a room‘. Investors are looking for a return. As a producer, your job is to help them get one. on their investment. Satisfy both of those components and you have a Win-Win. As my old friend Tommy T would say. “it’s a beautiful thing”.
