I’ve been thinking a lot about friendship lately. What it means to be a real friend.

I came across an interesting quote while exploring what others had to say on the topic.

A true friend may be forgiven, if in time of prosperity he seems to forget you; but he is not worth having that neglects you in distress. – Wellins Calcott

I have better one of my own;

A true friend is one who you could pull up in their driveway at 3 a.m., ask for a shovel and a bag of lime and he (or she) would ask if you needed any help.
